January 2013 ~ Monthly Beer Reviews

As with the beginning of the New Year, so begins another years worth of monthly beer reviews.  Last Year, I was starting to slide away from IPAs and move towards Sour beers…and I think it will continue way into 2013 as well.  As much as I appreciate the great varities of IPAs and DIPAs, it is just a style that I have been chasing for a long time and it has burned me out somewhat.  Not to mention, there is nothing more disappointing than buying a bottle off the shelf only to find that it was not dated and easily more than three months old…the hop character has completely faded and money has been wasted.

With the holidays gone and the NHL season finally here, the reviews keep pouring in each week.  As of the end of January, I am currently holding at 997 Beer Advocate reviews with the milestone review coming very quickly….what will it be, what will it be…come back next month to see because these are the reviews for January…
